At a young age, Stephen assisted a friend with a learning disability and that experience, coupled with his interest in cognitive psychology, naturally led him to teaching and tutoring. After receiving many referrals that cited his upbeat, patient teaching style, Stephen decided to found SKG Tutoring in order to share his unique teaching ability with more students. He has a proven track record of success and is happy to share references.

About SKG Tutoring

SKG Tutoring provides college admissions testing preparedness centered around the notion of test coaching. The first few months of instruction are led by the test coach and comprise every concept covered by the exams, along with improving speed and endurance. Later, the sessions transition to a student-driven model that provides the tutee with guidance to practice with a purpose. SKG Tutoring believes in coaching beyond the test, understanding that many of the skills developed for a great score are valuable throughout college—such as the ability to write well. Students also learn best test taking practices and ways to alleviate test stress. Instruction is available for SAT, ACT, GRE, AMC, and LSAT exams.
